As you enter the gate to El Zapote in the mountains of Acatenango, you’re greeted by the sight of an active volcano in the distance, kumquat trees with ripe fruit to eat, two German Shepherds dutifully watching over the residence and a man with smiling eyes, a wide-brim hat and easy-going demeanor. The man is Julio Perez, and he grows some fantastic coffee. This is our second year purchasing Julio’s natural Gesha variety and we’re very excited to share it with you this year in collaboration with The Coffee Ethic. There's a limited amount of this coffee available, so get it while you can!
